Recently a few different followers have asked me for gluten free bottomless brunch recommendations in London and I thought it might be useful to share my suggestions with everyone. Not familiar with the concept of bottomless brunch? Basically you pay a set amount and receive unlimited fizz/cocktails/other drinks for 1.5-2 hours alongside your gluten free brunch dish of choice. Perfect weekend fun!

London now has a few really strong gluten free bottomless brunch options, some of which are new in recent months and there is wonderful variety. From classic brunch fare to Venezuelan and even Vietnamese cuisine on offer, never have we coeliacs had such a fun array of choices. Although I have eaten at a few of these restaurants, I haven’t tried all of these places personally. Nevertheless, I have done thorough research where I am not able to share my first-hand opinion. If you have any other recommendations for this list that I have missed out please email me at mygfguide@gmail.com.

As always when eating out please ask your own questions when you book/arrive and please treat my recommendations as a guide only. Processes and menus do change and while I try to keep up I am only one woman vs a big world of restaurants! If you are a bit nervous about mixed facility places then there is one fully gluten free place on here (Near & Far) and two Coeliac UK accredited restaurants (Mommi and Pho).

Arepa & Co

  • WHERE: Bethnal Green.
  • WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, 12pm – 4pm.
  • WHAT: Their new Pachanga Bottomless Brunch – choose a gluten free brunch dish plus side dish (you MUST try the yuca chips, they are amazing and coeliac safe), then pair with your choice of rum cocktails, fizz or mimosas. They have a live DJ playing (fairly chilled) modern South American and Latin beats. Most of their menu is gluten free and I have eaten here a few times, always without issue. They have a dedicated gluten free fryer and the gluten-containing options are marked on the menu. Brunch options include a full Venezuelan breakfast (Breakfast Criollo pictured below) and cachapa gluten free pancakes with grilled cheese, bacon, fried egg and maple syrup!

I have not tried the brunch here but have eaten the a la carte menu and had a fabulous experience (the most amazing gluten free bread and excellent food), plus Eneko is housed in the same hotel as fully gluten free restaurant Indigo so you know the kitchen is very experienced in that regard. Please call and check before you go. Booze options include prosecco, buck’s fizz, bloody marys and gin cocktails.
  • TIME LIMIT: 90 minutes.
  • PRICE: £30.

Santo Remedio

  • WHERE: London Bridge.
  • WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, 11am – 4pm.
  • WHAT: Mexican Free Flowing Brunch – gluten free options available for all courses aside from the sharing dessert (churros). I still think it is worth it and staff may be able to offer an alternative but flagging this so you are not disappointed. You start with tortilla chips and guacamole, then get a starter and main (then that sharing dessert). I think very highly of Santo Remedio’s food and have eaten here a few times. The menu is largely gluten free and staff are very clued up. The pork belly tacos included in the brunch deal are amazing! Drinks offered for the bottomless brunch are regular margaritas, frozen margaritas or fizz.
  • TIME LIMIT: 2 hours.
  • PRICE: £45.
  • OTHER DIETARY REQUIREMENTS: I couldn’t see many dairy free options on their brunch menu but the main menu may have further options – please enquire direct with the restaurant.

  • WHAT: Aussie Bottomless Brunch Party – one savoury dish and one sweet dish plus bottomless mimosas or prosecco. Their Australian-style brunch menu has gluten free choices clearly marked. They stress that they cannot guarantee no cross contamination, but this is a fairly typical disclaimer in London restaurants these days.

  • PRICE: £39.50.
  • OTHER DIETARY REQUIREMENTS: Please enquire.

Senor Ceviche (Carnaby)
