Episode 6 of Oh Crumbs – the Gluten Free Podcast is now out and this week we are broadcasting from River cottage in Devon! We chat about gut health, coeliac disease and sustainability this week with our brilliant guest Naomi Devlin. Cookery book author, River Cottage tutor and nutritionist Naomi is a true gluten free foodie and something of an expert when it comes to naturally gluten free foods and gluten free baking.
Naomi embraced her coeliac disease diagnosis as a challenge that drove her to discover all sorts of new, wonderful foods. She has published two gluten free cookbooks River Cottage Gluten Free and Food for a Happy Gut and regularly runs cookery courses in Devon and London.
In this episode of Oh Crumbs we chat about:
- how Naomi’s diagnosis changed the direction of her career
- the early days of gluten free blogging
- finding naturally gluten free alternatives
- gut health
- prebiotics and probiotics
- FODMAPs and farts!
Before the interview, we also talk about gluten free at festivals, sustainability and trying to reduce food waste.
