The ultimate gluten free meal and the holy grail of food for many coeliacs is finding safe gluten free fish and chips in the UK! Yet tracking down suitable gluten free fish and chips can be tricky and often leads to serious bouts of HANGER (the rage that boils up when you are hungry and frustrated…for any of you wondering what I am on about :D).

I am constantly being asked to recommend coeliac friendly chippies by my followers on Instagram and I decided it was about time I wrote a big old list of top gluten free fish and chip UK recommendations. I have had some amazing gluten free fish and chips in my time and it turns out there are actually LOADS of places across the country offering it! The list below includes pubs too and covers places that can:

  1. cater for coeliacs, and
  2. offer gluten free fish and chips every day of the week.

If your fave UK gluten free fish and chips restaurant is missing from this list please email me at [email protected] (ditto for any updates).

Otherwise, read on and enjoy! Of course, please remember to always double check when you visit a fish and chip shop or restaurant mentioned here as processes can change and I am only one woman trying to keep on top of it all :D. I’ll be adding more places as and when I find them, so check back regularly for updates.
