Today we’re making gluten free air fryer doughnut holes (although I also have instructions for oven baking if you don’t have an airfryer) – a wonderful little sweet treat that you can whip up in under 30 minutes.
Which Flour Do You Use?
I use a flour that is widely available in the UK, FREEE by Doves Farm Self Raising Flour. You can find it in every large UK supermarket, in the free from section.
If you only have plain flour available where you live (or have simply run out of self raising), add an extra 2 tsp baking powder and a quarter tsp xanthan gum (unless your blend already contains it).

Time for the recipe, which you’ll find below, which makes about 10 doughnut holes.

Gluten Free Doughnut Holes (Air Fryer Recipe)
Make cheat doughnut holes using this speedy airfryer recipe and a handful of simple ingredients. Ready in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients
- 200g gluten free self raising flour (I used FREEE by Doves Farm)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 180g full fat Greek yoghurt
- 1 tbsp caster sugar + 3 tbsp caster sugar
- 30g unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Add the flour, baking powder and 1 tbsp sugar to a mixing bowl and stir to combine. Then add the yoghurt and mix with a wooden spoon.
- Knead the crumbly ingredients with your hands until they come together in a smooth ball of dough (if sticky, add a little extra flour).
- Divide the dough into 10 pieces and roll into balls.
- Preheat your air fryer to 180C, then add the donut holes and cook for 8 minutes.
- Once cooked take them out and brush with the melted butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar (3 tbsp caster sugar plus 1 tsp cinnamon).
Notes
If you prefer you can bake these in the oven for 20-25 minutes at 180C.
