Ho ho ho and deck the halls, Christmas is a’coming and my gluten free Christmas gift guide is back for 2018! Struggling to know what gluten free Christmas gift to buy for coeliac or gluten free friends and family? Well fear not, once again this year I’ve searched high and low for the finest gluten free Christmas gifts on offer. No matter what your festive budget, you’ll find something here to suit you.
All of the gifts in this guide are available nationwide and I’ve tried to include a good range of gluten free gift inspiration to satisfy even the most discerning gluten free recipient. Everything has been tried and tested by me (my waistline might never recover from all those treats), so you can be assured I rate all of these products highly.

Gluten Free Stocking Fillers and Secret Santa Ideas (Under £10)
Rhythm108: Swiss Chocolate Bars & Tea Biscuits – £1.65 to £3.29
This gluten and dairy free brand is a new discovery for me and their treats would be very at home in a coeliac’s Christmas stocking. From their dinky, delicious Swiss chocolate bars (priced at £1.65) to large packs of their tea biscuits (£3.29) this brand has quite the selection to choose from. The perfect addition to a gluten and dairy free Christmas hamper too! Available from WHSmith, Boots, Sainsbury’s, Amazon, Planet Organic and more.
Ombar: Filled Chocolate Bars – £1.99
We are kicking off proceedings with a gluten and dairy free offering from Ombar. These adorable little raw chocolate bars are very yummy and Ombar have recently launched a filled centres range. I really enjoyed these – the coconut and vanilla variety was totally moreish. Available online or from Waitrose, Planet Organic, Whole Foods, Ocado, Revital, As Nature Intended and selected independent health food shops.
This cute mini gluten free panettone from Arden & Amici can be hung on your Christmas tree…but don’t expect it to hang around for long. The panettone is quite light and very fluffy, like a hot cross bun, and a real crowd pleaser. Perfect for any coeliac’s Christmas stocking (and even my gluten-eating taste testers enjoyed it). Available in Waitrose (priced at £2.50) or Ocado (priced at £2.99).
These healthy, gluten free baking mixes from Sweet Pea Pantry are a great little Christmas present option. Buy individually, add to homemade gluten free hampers or combine a few for a larger gift. All the mixes are also dairy free, vegan and refined sugar free. Available nationwide, order online or buy at one of their stockists.
Popcorn Shed: Gourmet Popcorn – £3.50
The prettiest-packaged popcorn around and it tasty blaaahdy lovely as well. All their flavours are gluten free and some are award-winning – the pecan pie is my absolute fave. Available nationwide, order online or buy at one of their stockists.
A couple of fun ones from Tesco this year, who have produced these gluten free festive bake kits. They don’t require the addition of many extra ingredients (unlike some others on the market where you basically just get a flour mix in the box) and as a bonus are milk free too. Ideal for people with multiple dietary intolerances. Available in Tesco stores nationwide.
Chocolate or art, you decide! What I do know is that this would be a delight to find in your Christmas stocking. Coco Chocolatier have two special festive flavours in their range this year. For dark chocolate lovers there is “Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh”. Milk chocolate fiends will love the “Christmas Spice” variety. A flavour-packed chutney that will elevate your Christmas cheese board to new heights! Naturally gluten free and the winner of a Great Taste 3-Star award, this relish is a delightful little stocking filler for foodies. Available nationwide, purchase online or through a number of independent retailers.
I rate this gluten free cook book really highly and Naomi’s pastry recipes are the best I have tried. Grab a bargain as the hardcopy book is currently available on Book People for £6.99. Naomi also has a more recent book focusing on gut health, although I haven’t tried that one out yet it has been recommended to me – here’s a link in case you want to check it out.
Honeybuns: Christmas Tiny Tin – £8.50
A pretty little Honeybuns tin containing a gluten free Cranberry and Pecan flapjack (my fave Honeybuns cake) and a sweet little bobble-adorned mug cosy. A brilliant Secret Santa gift for coeliacs. Order at most a couple of weeks before giving your gift, as the cakes aren’t hugely long life. Available nationwide, order online.
This tart. I mean. So freaking good. A chocolate millionaire gluten free tart with divine pastry and a mouthwatering filling. Why send a coeliac a Christmas card when you can make their week by sending them a personalised, delicious treat. There is also quite a range of flavour varieties to choose from, yum! Oast to Host are also doing a brilliant “Make Yourself a Millionaire” kit, giving you all the ingredients to make your own gluten free Millionaire at home. Plus gift packaging if you can bear to give it away once made!
Show some creative flare with your gluten free Christmas gift by baking a box of gluten free brownies: try my decadent salted caramel swirl brownies, peanut butter stuffed brownies or classic choctastic brownies. They keep well due to the high chocolate content so you can make them up to a week in advance. Slice a batch of brownies and pop into a lined box for a truly thoughtful gluten free gift.

Carluccio’s: Gluten Free Panettone – £12.95
Sky blue and gold packaging encase this gorgeous gluten free panettone from Carluccio’s. After discovery it last year I was delighted to find out that it is available again this Christmas. Not only does it look beautiful, it tastes AMAZING toasted with butter for a treat breakfast or afternoon festive snack. A gluten free cook book from a Masterchef champion – score! Jane has some wonderful recipes in her new book, all steering clear of complicated flour blends and hard-to-source ingredients. I for one have already bookmarked dozens of recipes to try in this book, from tear and share fondue bread to fail-safe Yorkshire puddings. Definitely one of my top book picks this year. A lovely gluten free cook book that contains low FODMAP recipes, a great gift for anyone tackling that diet on top of being gluten free. Emma provides lots of easy to make recipes and suggests handy FODMAP-friendly ingredient substitutes. Available through all good book retailers.

A brand new fully gluten free cook book, hooray. A large number of the recipes are also naturally dairy free, so it is a great gift for another suffering from both intolerances. This Honeybuns cook book is filled with some really lovely recipes, both savoury and sweet. I can’t wait to get baking! Available online and via book retailers.
Fabulous gluten free biscuits (they did some extensive taste-testing to find the best ones…tough life) with a reusable thermos mug. Ideal for any eco-conscious family members or friends. Gluten Free Christmas Gift Ideas for £20 – £29
Beer company Great British Beers have a number of gluten free artisan beers in their range. A mixed case makes for a brilliant gift and you can even opt for a festive crate to pack those gluten free beers in (+£12) or include various gluten free snacks. You can order online but they suggest you give them a call when ordered so they can choose the best beers for your taste preferences. These guys know their stuff about beer!
Brownies galore with this decadent chocolately box from Sweet Reason. You get eight delicious brownies for your money, each individually wrapped and packaged in a festive gift box. Gluten Free Christmas Gift Ideas £30+
A cool gift that is also suitable for dairy free coeliacs, as the ingredients included are all gluten free and dairy free. You then add in your own dairy products and Fudge Kitchen tell me it works just as well with lactose or dairy free products. The kit itself is brill – you get an apron and all the sugar ingredients and utensils needed to make fudge at home, including a sugar thermometer. A very cool gift idea from Popcorn Shed – a tasting club subscription with a difference. Cookware brand ProCook sell top of the range kitchen items for extremely reasonable prices – ideal gifts for any avid cooks in your life. This cast iron casserole dish is a beaut, very high quality and ProCook are selling it for £39 instead of £79. They have a whole array of other items too, including a huge baking range. Bag a present bargain asap (or treat yourself to make Christmas day cooking much more enjoyable). Available online, with delivery.
You might already be familiar with the spectacularly pretty biscuits that Biscuiteers produce, but did you know they offer a gluten free range too? Well they do and this gluten free biscuit tin is pretty special. Four layers of perfectly-iced festive gluten free biscuits in a beautiful Christmas tin. The work that goes into these justifies the price and I know anyone would be delighted to receive these!
